Prospective Members!
In SAI, we refer to our prospective members as Members In Training, or MITs. We have several recruitment functions throughout the fall semester and a few in the spring semester before the MIT-ing process begins. If you are interested in joining SAI, we would love for you to attend our functions to get to know us and our organization a little better! We publicize each of our functions as the semester progresses, so check the bulletin boards and your mailboxes!
SAI also adheres to a strict "no hazing" policy. Hazing is defined as "any action or situation that recklessly or intentionally endangers mental or physical health or any action taken or situation created which produces mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule." Such activities and situations include road trips, public wearing of apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste, engaging in public stunts, and late work sessions which interfere with scholastic activities.
If you have any questions regarding MIT-ing or recruitment functions, please contact our MIT Mom, Megan Anthony.
